New members are encouraged to grow as future leaders by assisting with committee duties and responsibilities. The following brief descriptions are intended to convey the essence of each role.    Ways & Means     J. Henn  
  
Coordinates planning and implementation of internal and public fundraising events; announces projects, coordinates with publicity chairman; establishes financial goals as member of Budget Committee.

   Friendship     J. Henn  
  
Sends greetings to members in the case of serious illness or in the event of death of members, consults family regarding memorials.

   Hospitality      M. Cooper

Selects hostesses ; sets up attendance table and prepares name tags ; records attendance and reports attendance to Recording Secretary for minutes.

   Newsletter      K. Marzonie (editor)

Prepares monthly newsletter and distributes monthly to all members of the Club and to MGC District I Director, affiliated organizations; and community leaders.

Contacts prospective members; invites and introduces prospective members at general meetings; presents applications for membership to VP Membership , forwards dues to Treasurer.

   Yearbook / Website     A. Bachrach

Collects updated information to be included in yearbook, prepares original layout, coordinates printing and distributes yearbook to members.

   Conservation Legislation     J. Geisler
  
Informs members about conservation matters and related legislation by means of programs, newsletter messages, exhibits, etc. and urges action when necessary. Attends MGC Fall Conference at Higgins Lake.

   Inter-Service Club Council     A. Bachrach

Attends regular meetings of Inter-Service Club Council and reports on current activities, projects and services/grants made by Garden Club; reports to members regarding ISCC initiatives.

Coordinates scholarships to University of Michigan Dearborn and Henry Ford Community College; Coordinates with MGC Foundation, Garden Club Publicity Chairman and Historian regarding awards; Coordinates Woodsy Owl/Smoky Bear program for elementary school age children.
